What to Expect in EMDR Therapy

Traumatic memories can sometimes feel “stuck,” causing flashbacks, anxiety, or distress long after the event is over. EMDR helps your brain reprocess these memories so they are no longer as overwhelming or disruptive.

In our sessions, I will guide you through a safe, structured process that uses eye movements or other bilateral stimulation. You don’t have to go into detail about the trauma if you don’t want to – EMDR focuses on helping your brain naturally process and heal.
